Is the squawk working?
  • The Squawk runs using Adobe Flash player, so check supportdetails.com to ensure that your flash player is up to date.
  • If you are currently using Internet Explorer, you may not be able to run data intensive applications like Benzinga Pro in a stable manner. We suggest trying Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
  • Be sure that your speakers are turned on and working. You can check this by running a sound test at https://www.onlinemictest.com/sound-test. If you do not hear anything, then check to ensure that your speakers are plugged in and that your sound is on.
  • If you still are not able to hear the Squawk, then the market may just be having a slower day. You can be sure of this by contacting an analyst using the newsdesk chat or giving us a call.
How do I set up alerts?
  • The alert system has a two different ways of notifying a subscriber to an event that occurred:
    • Sound Alerts
      • You are notified by sound that a certain headline has been published. To have the noise play you need to have the group checked under the channels.
    • Real-Time Email Alerts
      • You are notified by email in real-time as the headline is published.
  • To set up an Alert Group:
    • Input tickers into the text box under alert settings.
    • Pick more specific channels from the dropdown.
    • You can also do a ticker import where the tickers are separated by commas or spaces.
How do I create a watchlist?

Click the watchlist button in the middle of your empty workspace screen. Then click the ‘Create New’ button and type a name for the watchlist and type in the stock tickers to follow. If you already have a document or spreadsheet with the tickers which you would like to create a watchlist for, then you can select the ‘Update’ button. This will allow you to import the tickers from your pre-existing document or update one of your previously made watchlists.

How can I search for specific articles in the news feed?

Just above the latest news article is a search bar where you can type in a keyword or an article title and find it without having to scroll through the feed looking for it.

How can I change my email address?

  • Click Settings in the left column towards the bottom
  • Type in the new email address you would like to use.

Does the squawk run 24/7?

The squawk only runs when the Market is opening and to report earnings after the close 6am-6pm EST

Is there sound alerts for new stories?

Only if you have that ticker in your portfolio or watch list

There is always a visible alert: the headline flashes orange and then gets a lighter shade of orange over the next ~10-20 secs
